We are looking for a vendor to complete all housekeeping work for the hospital on a contract basis OR Senior housekeeping supervisor on Salary Basis Hospital housekeeping is not just about cleanliness—it’s a vital part of healthcare operations that helps to provide a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for patients and a safe working condition for medical professionals. Hospital Housekeeping Duties and Responsibilities Regularly clean patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, and restrooms Utilize appropriate cleaning agents to prevent the spread of infection and comply with health and safety regulations. Properly collect, transport, and dispose of waste and biohazard materials in accordance with hospital guidelines and regulations. Replenish items such as hand soap, sanitizer, paper towels, and toilet tissue to maintain an adequate supply throughout the hospital. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors to keep them in clean and safe condition. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a professional appearance and prevent the buildup of dirt and germs. Keep track of inventory levels for cleaning materials and consumables, and request additional supplies as needed. Hospital Housekeeping Skills and Abilities Minimum 1 year experience in hospital housekeeping. Thoroughly inspect areas for cleanliness and proper sanitation. Understand the proper use of various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Have a solid understanding of hygiene practices Efficiently manage time to complete all tasks in a timely manner.
