Role & responsibilities Co-ordinate and Supervise the execution of Body welding tool design, Construction, Try-outs, Buyoffs and Launch Support along with Body Processing, Dimensional and Product interface functions, support vehicle build programs. Responsible for Project Planning, Manufacturing Strategy, Make/ Buy strategy, Capacity studies, Cost estimation, Layout & Process finalization, Fixture development, Design reviews, Execution and prove out the lines. Responsible for RFQ / SOR preparation, Quotation comparison, Supplier selection, technical review of proposals and preparing evaluation reports for Body shop. Negotiations for Machines and Structural Projects considering cost-effectiveness, Preparing Synopsis for proposals, Executive Sanction requests and Proposal executions. Feasibility study for new models, facelifts, product in the existing line, Evaluate process sequence and specification approval for different machines and equipment. Manage tool development schedule, Weekly & monthly report out of project status, with appropriate countermeasures. Support Metal Matching and debugging / Dimensional quality Improvements for new project as well as running projects. Using AutoCAD, Catia, NX software to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them. Conduct feasibility study on the existing line for new product introduction along with all stakeholders. Preparation of layout and approval with all the stakeholders. Knowledge about Tooling Pneumatic and Electrical circuit and modification based on process demand. Ontime delivery of tooling, jigs and M&E for the installation as per master time plan. Preparation of process documents such as OD sheet, PFMEA, CP and QCOS. Feedback and Report on project progress and issues Preparation of business case, selection of supplier for different machines requirement and perform project work.
