Department: IT Infrastructure Reports To: IT Manager / Network Lead Experience Required: 2–5 years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced L2 Network and Security Engineer responsible for managing and supporting network infrastructure including switching, routing, and firewall systems. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting barcode scanners and printers, ensuring smooth operation of connected devices across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches (Cisco, Aruba, HP, etc.) Monitor and manage routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and ensure optimal path selection. Deploy and maintain firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.), including rule configuration and security policies. Handle VLAN, STP, port security, link aggregation, and network segmentation. Respond to network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, IP address inventory, and configuration backups. Work closely with the security team to ensure network compliance and security hardening. Configure and support barcode scanners and printers (Zebra, Honeywell, etc.) on wired/wireless networks. Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to networked peripherals and warehouse/retail devices. Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements, updates, or escalations. Participate in planned maintenance, patching, and upgrades with minimal downtime. Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Industry certifications like CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE4/5, or CompTIA Network+ preferred. Strong knowledge of network protocols and firewall rule configuration.
