Procurement Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and budgets. Forecast procurement needs and plan purchases based on stock levels, production schedules, and project timelines. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality. Vendor & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers and vendors. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery schedules, quality standards, and competitive pricing. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors while ensuring compliance with company policies. Purchasing Operations: Manage the entire procurement cycle including purchase requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, and goods receipt. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services. Monitor and control inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and inventory. Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic audits to assess procurement efficiency and compliance. Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with finance for invoice processing, payment approvals, and budgeting. Liaise with production, warehouse, and project teams to understand and fulfill material requirements. Support the development of procurement-related policies and continuous process improvement initiatives. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise a team of procurement officers or buyers. Set performance targets and regularly evaluate team performance. Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
