Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling EDI Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integration, EDI protocols, and the ability to implement, troubleshoot, and maintain EDI-based systems. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the smooth exchange of business documents, such as purchase orders, invoices, and shipping notices.

Key Responsibilities

• EDI Implementation & Management

  : Implement, maintain, and monitor EDI integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integration platforms.

• System Configuration

  : Configure EDI flows and maps, manage partner setup, and define communication protocols.

• Troubleshooting & Support

  : Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI transmissions, errors, and processing failures.

• Data Mapping & Translation

  : Use IBM Sterling Integration Designer and similar tools to create data maps between various EDI formats (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and internal systems.

• Partner Onboarding

  : Work with business partners to onboard them to the EDI platform and ensure seamless communication.

• Process Optimization

  : Continuously improve the EDI processes and enhance efficiency.

• Documentation

  : Maintain documentation for all EDI workflows, integrations, and processes.

• Compliance & Security

  : Ensure EDI processes are compliant with industry standards and maintain data security best practices.

• Collaboration

  : Work cross-functionally with IT, business, and external vendor teams to ensure successful EDI integration.

Required Skills

• IBM Sterling B2B Integration (Sterling Integrator)

  : Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator for developing and managing EDI solutions.

• EDI Protocols

  : Strong knowledge of EDI standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and AS2.

• Data Mapping & Transformation

  : Experience with IBM Sterling Integration Designer or similar tools for data mapping and translation.

• Troubleshooting

  : Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex EDI issues.

• Communication

  : Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Project Management

  : Experience in managing EDI-related projects and coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Other B2B Integration Tools

  : Experience with other B2B integration platforms such as SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, etc.

• EDI Standards Knowledge

  : Familiarity with other EDI standards like UN/EDIFACT and TRADACOMS.

• Cloud Integration

  : Experience with cloud-based integrations (AWS, Azure) is a plus
