Jewellery Quality Check

As a jewellery sorter, your primary responsibility will be to categorize jewellery items such as rings, earrings, pendants, bangles, etc., by their type, size, quality, and karat. You will meticulously inspect each piece to ensure quality, checking for any defects, damage, or mismatched sets. It will also be your duty to identify and segregate precious and semi-precious stones, different types of gold, and other materials. It is crucial that you accurately label each item and maintain detailed records of the sorting process in the inventory management system. Proper handling and storage of jewellery are essential to prevent any loss or damage, so you must adhere to the prescribed protocols. Collaboration with the quality control, design, and production teams is vital for seamless operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organised sorting area, following all company policies and safety procedures diligently. To excel in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in jewellery sorting, quality control, or a related field would be advantageous. Good eyesight and keen attention to detail are essential traits. Strong organisational skills and manual dexterity will be beneficial, along with a basic understanding of jewellery types, materials, and grades. Handling valuable items with trustworthiness and responsibility is a fundamental requirement for this position.
