Jewellery Design Intern

As a Jewellery Design Intern at Duavaa, you will have the exciting opportunity to work closely with the founder to bring creative concepts to life. Your role will involve collaborating on design concepts, creating sketches and renderings, developing technical drawings, coordinating with artisans and vendors, researching jewellery trends, and ensuring quality and accuracy in the design process. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the founder on design concepts, inspirations, and moodboards. - Create hand sketches and digital renderings to translate ideas into visual form. - Develop technical drawings/spec sheets with detailed measurements, materials, and finishes. - Coordinate with artisans and vendors to get samples made, track timelines, and manage iterations. - Review samples for accuracy and quality, documenting changes and improvements. - Research emerging jewellery trends, materials, and techniques to support new collection development. Qualifications Required: - Pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in Jewellery Design, Accessory Design, or a related field. - Strong ability in hand sketching and rendering for jewellery. - Proficiency with jewellery-specific software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or CAD tools. - Understanding of metals, stones, finishes, and luxury jewellery production techniques. - Detail-oriented with a keen eye for proportions, setting styles, and wearability. - Ability to coordinate with artisans, CAD modelers, and vendors, managing timelines effectively. - Passion for luxury designer fashion jewellery with a proactive, learning mindset.
