Key Responsibilities:1. Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of sensory, motor, cognitive, and functional abilities. Identify the strengths and challenges of clients to develop personalized therapy plans. Interpret standardized tests and clinical observations to determine therapy goals. 2. Therapy Planning & Implementation: Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living activities. Use evidence-based interventions, including sensory integration therapy, motor coordination exercises, and play-based therapy. Modify the environment or recommend assistive devices to enhance a client's functional independence. 3. Client & Family Education: Educate parents, caregivers, and educators on therapeutic strategies to support the client’s development. Provide home programs and guidance for continued therapy outside sessions. Offer training on the use of adaptive equipment, ergonomic modifications, and sensory diets. 4. Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Approach: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, psychologists, special educators, and physiotherapists, to provide holistic care. Participate in case discussions and interdepartmental meetings to ensure coordinated care. Collaborate with schools and institutions to support inclusive education and learning modifications. 5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports. Prepare detailed case reports for review and planning. Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards in documentation. 6. Research & Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest research in occupational therapy, autism interventions, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Participate in workshops, conferences, and professional training sessions. Contribute to research and evidence-based practices in the field. 7. Assist in Institutional Growth & Awareness: Support awareness programs and workshops for schools, parents, and caregivers. Assist in developing educational materials, blogs, or social media content related to occupational therapy. Help in organizing events like Autism Awareness Month or Sensory Integration Training.
