As a Software Engineer at Salesforce, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the platform infrastructure to provide capacity and ensure availability both on premise and in the cloud. Your responsibilities will include supporting continuous integration, unit tests, and functional automation, with a keen attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality, stable solutions. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-site, multi-cultural development and testing team, demonstrating self-motivation to achieve and exceed milestones. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you will both mentor and be mentored within the team. Your desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment will drive your success in this role. Participation in the on-call rotation is required to address complex problems in real-time and maintain operational services at a high level of availability. Your experience in deploying production code, Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), and CI/CD processes, particularly with Jenkins, will be valuable assets. Additionally, your proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, and Python, along with strong Linux experience, will be essential for success in this position. Desirable skills include knowledge of object-oriented programming, APIs, and REST services, as well as core database (SQL) skills. Experience with Scrum in an Agile development environment and a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent are also beneficial. Familiarity with configuration management systems like Chef, Puppet, or CFengine is a plus.
