Description
Role Overview: You will be deeply engaged and hands-on in the full development lifecycle from designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving the next generation of the core cloud-based email product. Your role will involve working with architects, engineers, and product managers to solve interesting problems at a massive scale. Your responsibilities will include engaging in backlog grooming, planning, design reviews, and code reviews, as well as delivering AWS based Java services through CI/CD and Infrastructure as code. You will be expected to contribute to reviews of new features or enhancements, take responsibility for the quality of the software by creating unit, system, and non-functional tests, and engage with the team through collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork. Additionally, you will continually improve team efficiency, personal skills, and team skills, learn new technology trends and industry innovations, take initiatives, and be resourceful. You may also be involved in designing new features or enhancements based on high-level architectures, leading backlog grooming, planning, design reviews, and code reviews, and leading security reviews of designs and implementations. As a technical lead within the team, you will apply technology trends and industry innovations to the products, take ownership, create accountability within the team, and coach and mentor team members on areas of experience. Key Responsibilities: - Work on Java 8/11 + REST/HTTP microservices + gradle based CI/CD pipelines + Terraform + Docker/Kubernetes + AWS [DynamoDB, S3/cloud front, elasti cache/Redis, OpenSearch, ECS, EC2, load balancing and ASGs, Cloud watch] + Kafka - Experience with Microsoft M365 systems, MS Graph API, and Azure services - Experience in Python required - Deliver AWS based Java services through CI/CD and Infrastructure as code - Contribute to reviews of new features or enhancements - Take responsibility for the quality of the software by creating unit, system, and non-functional tests - Engage with the team through collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork - Continually improve team efficiency, personal skills, and team skills - Learn new technology trends and industry innovations - Take initiatives and be resourceful - Design new features or enhancements based on high-level architectures - Lead backlog grooming, planning, design reviews, and code reviews - Lead security reviews of designs and implementations - Act as a technical lead within the team through collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork - Apply technology trends and industry innovations to the products - Take ownership and create accountability within the team - Coach and mentor team members on areas of experience Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Java 8/11, REST/HTTP microservices, gradle, Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS services (DynamoDB, S3/cloud front, elasti cache/Redis, OpenSearch, ECS, EC2, load balancing and ASGs, Cloud watch), and Kafka - Experience with Microsoft M365 systems, MS Graph API, and Azure services - Proficiency in Python - Strong understanding of CI/CD practices - Familiarity with security reviews and implementations,
