Job Description

Role Overview: As a Backend Developer at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. You will also be responsible for building responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Collaboration with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers is key to delivering high-quality features. Your participation in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging processes will ensure clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices. Additionally, optimizing application performance and scalability will be part of your responsibilities. Working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives will be part of your day-to-day activities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. - Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features. - Integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication between frontend and backend. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging. - Optimize application performance and scalability. - Work in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Qualifications Required: - Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development. - Solid experience with React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). - Familiarity with frontend build tools like Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn. - Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. - Understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorization (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
