Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  RESTful APIs

  using

  Java Spring Boot

  and related frameworks.
• Implement

  microservices architecture

  , ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and data teams to integrate backend services.
  
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following

  best practices

  in object-oriented design.
• Develop and manage

  API documentation

  .
• Integrate applications with

  databases

  (SQL/NoSQL) and external services.
• Deploy and manage services on

  AWS

  (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS).
• Work with

  Databricks

  for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines (basic-level collaboration with data engineers).
• Participate in

  code reviews

  , unit/integration testing, and continuous integration processes.
• Monitor application performance and optimize system resources for high availability and reliability.
  

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (8 or higher)

• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA

• Hands-on API design and development experience (RESTful services)

• Understanding of

  microservices architecture

  and

  service-oriented design

• Familiarity with

  AWS core services

  (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, IAM)
• Basic experience or understanding of

  Databricks

  ,

  Apache Spark

  , or

  data processing concepts

• Proficiency in

  SQL

  and working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Knowledge of

  version control systems

  (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
• Understanding of

  Docker

  and containerization (nice to have)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in

  Computer Science

  ,

  Information Technology
