Java Backend Engineer

As a Java Backend Engineer at Maersk, you will play a crucial role in the company's digital transformation journey. In this role, you will be part of the SAP Infrastructure team within the SAP Enablement Platform, working on the design, provisioning, and support of infrastructure for a complex SAP landscape hosted on Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include delivering technical capabilities based on user stories, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, building scalable distributed systems, and designing and developing back-end systems using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, and Cloud technologies. You will also be expected to have hands-on experience with Java 8 and above, project reactor for reactive programming, popular Java frameworks, web services, RESTful APIs, microservices, NoSQL databases, stream-processing technologies like Kafka and Azure Event Hub, as well as unit/integration testing. To excel in this role, you should possess excellent debugging and optimization skills, experience in cloud technologies and architecting microservices in Azure Cloud, good communication skills, stakeholder management experience, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
