Java Backend Developer - GCSIT

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and deploy microservices for distributed, high-performance systems.
• Implement event-driven architectures and real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Design and integrate secure, efficient RESTful APIs and Java-based APIs.

Collaboration & Integration

• Work closely with front-end teams using Angular or React to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in architecture discussions and propose innovative backend solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Code Quality & Optimization

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Ensure adherence to software engineering standards such as Agile, TDD, and CI/CD.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and service orchestration.
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka for event-driven and streaming applications.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Angular or React for front-end collaboration.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT).
• Exposure to message brokers other than Kafka (RabbitMQ).
• Experience with monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
