Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with 2 years of experience in Spring Boot API development, preferably within the payments or fintech domain, to support backend development for a mobile application. The position is a contract role for a period of 3 months, with the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams at our Chennai office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot for a payments mobile application.
• Integrate with third-party payment gateways and internal systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable Java code.
• Optimize API performance and ensure low-latency, high-availability systems.
• Collaborate with mobile and frontend teams to align API contracts and responses.
• Conduct unit testing and support UAT and production deployments.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of Java
• Experience with REST API development and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Proficiency in working with MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with JWT/OAuth2, token-based authentication, and payment gateway integrations.
• Understanding of JSON, error handling, and API versioning best practices.
• Exposure to Git and CI/CD pipelines is preferred
