Java API Developer

As a Java API Developer at NTT DATA, your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Java (8+) and Spring Boot. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Writing clean, testable, and efficient code following test-driven development (TDD) practices. - Contributing to architectural decisions and participating in code reviews. - Optimizing database interactions and managing schema design, indexing, and migrations using PostgreSQL or Oracle. - Utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of microservices. - Supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Rancher for Kubernetes management. - Ensuring code quality and maintainability using tools like JUnit and SonarQube. - Working in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders. To excel in this role, you will need the following skills: - Proficiency in Java 8+ (Java 17 preferred). - Strong experience with Spring Boot and backend API development. - Hands-on experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs. - Familiarity with JUnit, SonarQube, and TDD methodologies. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture. - Knowledge of Rancher and Jenkins for CI/CD. - Strong database skills in PostgreSQL or Oracle, including performance tuning and schema design. - Proficient with Git and version control best practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams.
