Job Title: Senior Finance Manager Department: Finance Reports To: Director Location: BKC, Mumbai Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: General Accounting: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Perform month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements. Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with all internal processes, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s strategic goals. Create and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans. Advise on investment strategies, capital structure, and fundraising. Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure. Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash. Risk Management: Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company. Develop risk management strategies and implement financial controls to ensure robust financial governance. Ensure that the company adheres to legal and regulatory requirements. Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and development opportunities to finance staff. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations and efficiencies. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications: Education: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Professional Certification: CPA, CFA, or similar certification is highly desirable. Experience: At least 7-10 years of progressively responsible financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role. Demonstrated experience in financial planning, strategy, and management. Experience in Gems and Jewellery Industry is preferred. Experience and knowledge of Real Estate industry is preferred. Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven leadership ability and team management skills. Proficiency in financial management software and tools. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Working Conditions: Will require extended hours during peak financial periods or to meet deadlines.
