Role & responsibilities Perform chip-level repairs on laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve motherboard, SMPS, display, and circuit-related issues. Use schematics, circuit diagrams, and diagnostic tools to identify faults. Handle BIOS flashing, chipset replacement, and soldering/de-soldering with precision. Maintain repair logs, track inventory of spares, and ensure proper documentation. Ensure timely repair and maintenance to support internal teams and customer requirements. Collaborate with the support and operations team for testing and quality assurance after repairs. Stay updated with the latest tools, technologies, and repair practices in hardware servicing. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience (4 to 7 years) in chip-level servicing/repair. Strong knowledge of motherboards, ICs, capacitors, resistors, and power circuits. Proficiency with BGA rework stations, soldering/desoldering tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and board schematics. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Education Qualification (Preferred): Diploma / ITI in Electronics / Computer Hardware Engineering OR equivalent practical experience.
