• Provide counseling:

  Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to support patients through the emotional aspects of fertility treatment.

• Educate patients:

  Explain the IVF process, treatment options, and potential outcomes to help set realistic expectations.

• Offer emotional support:

  Help patients cope with stress, anxiety, pregnancy loss, and failed treatment cycles.

• Assist with decision-making:

  Guide patients in making informed choices regarding treatment options, embryo storage, and third-party reproduction (such as donor gametes or surrogacy).

• Maintain records:

  Keep accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of all patient interactions and assessments.

• Collaborate with the team:

  Work closely with doctors, nurses, and embryologists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention:

  Offer immediate support during emotionally difficult times.

• Organize workshops:

  Lead or organize support groups and educational workshops.

Qualifications and skills

• Licensing:

  A relevant license or certification is typically necessary.

• Experience:

  Prior experience in a counseling role, ideally with patients undergoing fertility treatment, is preferred.

• Communication:

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for empathy and support.

• Emotional Intelligence:

  Strong empathy, compassion, and the ability to manage challenging emotional situations are critical.

• Technical skills:
