You will be responsible for developing 2D/3D drafting as per the assigned tasks for the respective project in the Interior Lightings/Handicraft metal/glass industry. Your primary duties will include creating design drawings for primary, secondary, and tertiary structures, developing Bill of Material and entering it into ERP, and supporting the purchase process by releasing drawings/specs for BOP/job-work. You will also be required to support the Production team by explaining/clarifying queries, tracking document changes and releases, inspecting materials at the factory premise and vendor end, and coordinating with other departments for inputs/feedback. It is essential to report the task status vs plan on a daily basis for project deliveries and verify input information to maintain project development alignment. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting in the lighting manufacturing industry or equivalent. A Graduate/Post Graduate degree, preferably in Mechanical/Electrical background from a reputed organization is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and knowledge of 3D designing software such as Rhino/SolidWorks/Solid Edge are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, designers, and engineers are key aspects of this role. Key skills required for this position include hands-on experience with CAD software, interpretation of drawings/specs, knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, understanding of engineering calculations, coordination with production/product designers, familiarity with document change mechanisms, and quality inspection practices.
