As an IT Operations Analyst at Molex, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the health and performance of our infrastructure at various manufacturing sites. Your responsibilities will include serving as the primary point of contact for resolving infrastructure-related issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of enterprise applications, and maintaining high levels of performance and reliability. You will continuously monitor the network, server, and application health and performance using various tools and systems. As the first responder to alerts or performance degradation, you will provide initial troubleshooting and resolution while escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary. It will be essential for you to maintain detailed documentation of network incidents, changes, and resolutions and collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement improvements. Additionally, you will participate in the development of monitoring and response playbooks, conduct regular health checks, and generate reports on infrastructure performance and incidents. Routine maintenance tasks such as Network/Software updates, patching, and system restarts will also be part of your responsibilities. Staying updated with the latest monitoring technologies, AI, and best practices will be crucial for your success in this role. Basic qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience in monitoring and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also required. Communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential for collaborating with teams and escalating incidents. Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent, experience in a manufacturing environment, and familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices will be advantageous.
