Role Overview

Responsible for installation, wiring, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pump monitoring systems, SCADA interfaces, industrial sensors, control panels, and IIoT hardware deployed at pumping stations and utility sites.

Role & responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

• Install and connect electrical, mechanical, and electronic components for pump monitoring systems
• Support deployment of SCADA-connected IIoT devices, gateways, and communication hardware
• Perform cable routing, panel wiring, termination, and field instrumentation setup
• Configure flow, pressure, vibration, temperature, level and energy monitoring sensors

Operations & Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of installed systems
• Diagnose field issues in sensors, transmitters, power supply, signal outputs, and relay logic
• Perform calibration, alignment, and verification of instrumentation accuracy
• Maintain uptime of monitoring systems at pumping stations

SCADA & Communication

• Assist in SCADA integration, signal mapping, and data validation
• Check communication protocols (RS485, Modbus, TCP/IP, CAN, 420mA, pulse output etc.)
• Coordinate with control room operators for data accuracy and alarms

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare installation checklists, maintenance logs, and service reports
• Record parameter readings, test results, and issue resolution records
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance protocols

Required Qualifications

• ITI certification in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics (mandatory)
• 1-3 years experience in pumps, utilities, SCADA, or industrial instrumentation
• Hands-on experience with sensors, wiring, control panels, and field instruments

Technical Skills Preferred

• Understanding of pump systems, motors, starters, VFDs
• Knowledge of industrial sensors:
  Pressure / Flow / Vibration / Temperature / Level / Energy meters
• SCADA exposure (monitoring, tags, I/O signals, alarms)
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, P&ID, panel layouts
• Basic troubleshooting of communication networks

Soft Skills

• Willingness to travel to project sites
• Good observation and problem-solving ability
• Discipline in documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently and in field conditions

Additional Advantage (Not mandatory)

• Experience in water utilities, sewage, treatment plants, pumping stations
• Knowledge of IIoT systems, gateways, cloud data logging
• Safety certification or field compliance exposure
