We are seeking talented and highly skilled Director-level consultants to join our team and support us to expand our impact in the Private Equity (PE) sector. You will be working closely with Alysian leaders, PE Operating Partners, and the CIOs/IT Leadership teams at portfolio companies to execute transformative IT-enabled value creation strategies. CONTEXT ON ROLE This position is designed to lead and expand a high-impact IT Infrastructure practice, providing strategic support to PE clients. The primary focus will be on pre-implementation assessments, high-level infrastructure design, vendor selection / negotiation and program delivery across key areas such as: end-user computing, hosting (On Prem and Cloud), network, and security. The role involves shaping future-state architectures, optimizing infrastructure, and managing vendor relationships to drive operational excellence, scalability, and cost optimization for portfolio companies. QUALIFICATION MBA (premier or leading Business Schools) and/or Recognized degree from leading international universities, with a Post-Graduate degree or Professional Certifications- CISA, CISSP, CISM, ICCP or similar certifications Proficient in conducting infrastructure assessments and defining future-state environments. Deep knowledge of cloud, hybrid hosting, network design, end-user computing, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS). WORK EXPERIENCE 12+ years of experience, including at least 5 years with a leading consulting firm (e.g., MBB, Big-4, Accenture), focusing on enterprise architecture and program leadership Demonstrated success in leading large-scale technology transformation programs (EUR 30M+), with a focus on enterprise security and governance Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills, working effectively with IT and Digital Operating Partners, deal teams, and business leaders KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Pre-Implementation Strategy & Assessment Lead rapid infrastructure assessments (2-3 weeks) to evaluate current environments (across all Infra areas mentioned above), identify gaps, and define future-state architectures. Develop tailored roadmaps covering hosting, networking, end-user computing, and security. Design IT infrastructure operating model, team-structure and sourcing strategy aligned with the business goals. Provide expertise in commercial negotiations, ensuring optimal vendor contracts and SLAs for Infrastructure areas. Infrastructure Program Delivery Manage end-to-end delivery of infrastructure transformation programs, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budgets, and timelines. Oversee modernization of infrastructure (hosting, network, security) to improve performance, resilience, and compliance. Implement best practices and project management methodologies for consistent, scalable delivery. Monitor vendor performance and ensure milestones are met. Business Development & Client Engagement Drive business development by contributing expertise to proposals, pitches, and client discussions. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring IT infrastructure strategies align with client goals and deliver measurable value. Articulate the benefits of IT transformations to secure long-term client commitment. Team Building & Knowledge Leadership Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team capable of handling complex, high-impact projects. Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team remains current with emerging technologies. Standardize delivery practices with playbooks and frameworks to ensure high-quality execution. Best Practice Framework & Playbook Development Develop and maintain an IT Infrastructure playbook to standardize infrastructure assessments, planning, and execution. Continuously improve frameworks based on client feedback and industry advancements. Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements to deliver cutting-edge solutions. REQUIREMENTS Private Equity Expertise Experience in large or mid-cap PEs either as an operating partner, consultant in the PE sector or management role in a PE-backed company. Private equity experience is a strong asset, as it is key to aligning infrastructure strategies with investment objectives . Commercial & Vendor Management Proven ability to negotiate complex vendor contracts and optimize pricing structures, SLAs, and agreements. Experience with vendor evaluation, selection, and management to align technical and business goals. Leadership & Project Delivery Successful track record leading cross-functional teams to deliver multi-phase infrastructure programs. Strong project management skills, including risk assessment, resource planning, and quality assurance. Business Development & Client Partnership Skilled in managing C-level relationships Experience in creating value for private equity portfolio companies and fostering long-term partnerships. Team & Knowledge Development Expertise in recruiting and developing top-tier talent for complex infrastructure projects. Experience in creating and refining methodologies and playbooks to elevate service delivery. Industry Knowledge & Strategic Insight Strong understanding of private equitys value creation and operational efficiency imperatives. In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory/compliance considerations. ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES Understanding of the seven components of IT infrastructure: hardware, software, networks, data centres, cloud services, security systems, and IT service management (ITSM).
