Role Overview: As a Lead Engineer for Open Blue products, your primary responsibility will be to manage project execution involving Solutioning, provisioning, detailed site engineering, installation, configuration, and commissioning. You will work closely with the OB Customer Success and Onboarding team to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction. Your role may also include representing Johnson Controls at customer locations for installation and training purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Review project inputs thoroughly before commencing work, including BMS database, I/O point list, control drawings, mechanical drawings, SLDs, functional description diagrams (FDD), and sequence of operations (SOO) - Prepare solution documents, detailed site engineering, and design documents, which involve space ontology, meter list, equipment list, data point list, equipment-to-equipment relationship, and more - Identify and prepare a list of global fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) rules, and build custom FDD rule equations as per site requirements - Configure energy meters, mechanical equipment, building operating schedule, global points, threshold values, degree days, and users - Install and configure hardware such as Open Blue Bridge/Gateways, and conduct commissioning of cloud-based Open Blue products - Assist in technical estimation and drive project management disciplines to ensure projects are executed within scope, schedule, and budget - Maintain project standards and ensure the quality of deliverables for all projects in the area - Troubleshoot issues and provide customer support - Collaborate across internal business units and maintain working relationships with all internal stakeholders Qualification Required: - In-depth understanding of Building Management System (BMS) and good knowledge of HVAC systems such as Chilled Water System, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water System, Boilers, Different types of AHUs, FCUs, VAV, etc. - Knowledge of communication protocols like BACnet, MODBUS, project management, and customer communication - Familiarity with Johnson Controls Metasys Building Management System is preferred - Basic understanding of IT OT, cloud-based analytics tools/solutions is a plus - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Minimum 6-9 years of experience in the field of BMS & EMS Additional Company Details: This position plays a crucial role in supporting Johnson Controls Open Blue Products/solutions, driving significant organic revenue and operating efficiency for the organization.
