Cloud Maintenance Analyst for IoT The Cloud Maintenance Analyst role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT or cloud journey who enjoys structured work, solving problems, and improving how things are done. You ll begin by focusing on the coordination and execution of maintenance activities in cloud-hosted environments to maximize customer environment availability, performance, and security. These activities include OS patching, core and third-party updates, security patching, and applying the latest settings and tuning recommendations based on root cause analyses from other systems. Over time, this role will evolve to include responsibilities in analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role in a 24/7 environment, including rotational weekend and on-call duties. This role will primarily be supporting the SS&C managed services platform which hosts in-house developed software applications for our customers on AWS. Role responsibilities Maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, git/TFS, PowerShell) Assess and build new monitoring capability across on-premises & cloud hosted environments Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines Assist in Managing Projects through to completion with the Devops Manager/Supervisor Support implementation of our next generation product stack (Microservices, Terraform, EKS, Consul, Vault) Work with Cloud Engineers to develop AWS Solutions 2nd level support for Devops Activites. Experience IT degree, or equivalent experience 5+ years experience working in a DevOps role Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies Previous Software Engineer &/or IT Operations role s with significant scripting/coding experience Understanding of hosting production environments on AWS Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery build pipelines Experience working with microservices, containerisation (docker) and infrastructure as code A passion for automating manual processes Keen to continuously improve & innovate
