Job Description

As a Cutover Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the end-to-end planning and execution of technology transitions within complex retail IT ecosystems. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and managing comprehensive Cutover Plans for pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities across different environments (Test, UAT, Production). - Coordinating and governing technical and functional streams to ensure cutover readiness, covering Infrastructure, Application, Data, Integration, Network, and Business aspects. - Planning and tracking dependencies between multiple programs, such as new deployments, upgrades, decompositions, or decommissions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness and risk mitigation, including Release, Deployment, Change, and Business Operations teams. - Leading Go/No-Go, Release Readiness, and Post Go-Live review sessions, ensuring stakeholder alignment and approval for transitions. - Preparing fallback and contingency plans for critical transitions and validating rollback strategies. - Supporting environment strategy and data migration readiness for smooth transitions during application go-lives. - Monitoring real-time cutover execution, reporting progress, issues, and resolution plans to senior leadership. Required & Preferred Skills & Experience: - Experience in IT Program/Project Delivery, specifically in Cutover for large-scale enterprise programs. - Proven track record of managing end-to-end technology transitions, including deployments, migrations, decompositions, decommissions, and lift-shift. - Excellent planning and scheduling skills using tools like MS Excel, MS Project, or equivalent planning tools. - Proficiency in collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Miro, MS Teams, and SharePoint. - Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills across business and IT functions. - Experience in change-driven transformation programs with multiple parallel workstreams. Desirable Skills: - Prior experience with SAP, e-commerce specific tools, or other enterprise-grade retail systems. - Understanding of cloud migration, microservices, and decommissioning strategies. - Ability to work under pressure during major go-lives and time-critical transitions. Expected Soft Skills: - Strong ownership and accountability mindset. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills. - Collaborative, calm, and solution-oriented approach under pressure. - Ability to work effectively with global teams across different time zones.
