Position Summary We are looking for an experienced and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening our IT infrastructure by implementing robust security measures, automating routine processes, and building advanced monitoring and alerting systems. This role is vital in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Security Implementation & Management Implement and manage end-to-end security policies across systems and networks. Configure and oversee security tools, such as endpoint protection solutions. Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans. Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Respond to security incidents and coordinate resolution efforts. 2. Automation & Process Optimization Design and implement scripts and tools to automate administrative and operational tasks. Develop automated workflows for system deployment, configuration, backups, and disaster recovery. Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system reliability. 3. Monitoring & Alerting Deploy and manage comprehensive system monitoring solutions covering performance, availability, and security. Establish and maintain real-time alerting mechanisms and incident response protocols. Create dashboards and generate reports to track system health and performance. Set up centralized log aggregation and analysis tools for troubleshooting and security audits. Maintain detailed documentation for monitoring systems and escalation procedures. 4. General Systems Administration Maintain and support server infrastructure in both physical and virtual environments. Administer Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Manage network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related services. Conduct regular updates, patching, and system maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Maintain accurate system documentation, SOPs, and change logs. Qualifications & Experience Technical Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in systems administration. Proficiency in both Windows Server and Linux environments. Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python). Solid understanding of networking protocols and firewall configurations. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools. Working knowledge of security frameworks and best practices. Security & Cloud Exposure Experience implementing security protocols and compliance practices. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Capable of managing multiple priorities and working independently. Meticulous attention to detail with strong documentation practices. Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, AWS, Linux+). Experience with log analysis and centralized logging platforms. Familiarity with DevOps practices and related toolchains. Exposure to database administration.
