Description
As a Database Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases. Your role will involve creating and managing Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights. Additionally, you will develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions will be a key aspect of your job. You will be expected to optimize database performance, ensure data integrity, and troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. Preparation of documentation for database applications and the development of best practices for database design and development activities will also be part of your responsibilities. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies is essential, as well as completing any other duties as assigned. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries and stored procedures, is required. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query, is necessary. Experience with Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory and pipelines, is advantageous. Good working knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI, SSRS, etc., is also beneficial. Exposure to maintaining and supporting databases in Azure and on-premises is highly desirable. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, and you must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, while performing your duties, you may be required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
