As a Plastic Prototype Parts Developer, you will be responsible for developing plastic prototype parts while ensuring the desired quality and timely availability as per project schedules. Your key tasks will include target costing of plastic parts and mold, fixtures, as well as negotiating costs with suppliers. To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies: - Ability to analyze design data and drawings for part development - Comprehensive understanding of plastic molds and the injection molding process - Familiarity with alternate manufacturing processes and secondary operations such as painting, plating, and surface coating - Knowledge of plastic raw materials used in automotive applications - Proficiency in part inspection, identifying quality issues, and implementing necessary countermeasures - Skill in cost estimation of plastic parts, molds, fixtures, sourcing, and part development - Strong project management capabilities, including execution and monitoring - Quality control of prototype products in adherence to design standards - Understanding of quality management systems, particularly ISO/TS - Effective communication skills for internal and external customer interactions In addition to the technical requirements, the ideal candidate should showcase: - A strong work ethic with a zeal for taking pride in work and supporting team deliverables - A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment If you meet these criteria and are excited about contributing to the development of plastic prototype parts, we encourage you to apply for this role.,
