The main responsibility of this role is to assist in the timely receipt of incoming materials, conduct inward inspection, ensure proper storage and preservation, maintain identification and traceability, manage inventory, account for materials, and issue them to production as per requirements. Additionally, the role involves liquidation of scrap and hazardous material in accordance with defined guidelines. You should be familiar with the inward process of incoming raw materials, quality clearance procedures, and insurance claim processes for damaged consignments, including the necessary documentation. It is important to understand proper storage and preservation practices, as well as the identification and traceability of materials. You should also be knowledgeable about returning rejected or non-conformance materials to suppliers with the required documents. Ensuring health, safety, and security standards in the working environment, especially regarding the safe storage of chemicals and hazardous materials, is crucial. You must understand the material issuing process to production or end-users based on reservations. Monitoring shelf life materials and ensuring timely liquidation before expiry is also part of the role. You will be responsible for preparing aging reports for the liquidation of non-moving inventory through the PPC department. Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems for material management and exploration of ISO/EMS/EHS and OHSAS standards are required. Man management controls, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPEs), safety, and 5S implementation in the workplace are essential aspects of the role. Maintaining control on FIFO (First In, First Out) while issuing materials, understanding inventory control techniques, optimizing storage space, handling material, and liquidating valued scrap and hazardous material as per guidelines are key responsibilities. You should also be aware of perpetual inventory/stock audits, writing off inventory deviations with proper approval, and preparing MIS reports on store receipts versus issues. Qualification requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree or Graduation in any field with relevant experience.,
