Job Title: Quality Engineer / Welding Engineer Department: Fabrication Quality Assurance & Quality Control Location: Tronica City, Ghaziabad (Corporate Office / Manufacturing Unit) Company: Preet Group (Preet Machines Ltd. / Preet Cranes / Preet Structures) Industry: Heavy Steel Fabrication / EOT Cranes / Rolling Mill Equipment / Material Handling Systems Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / Diploma – Mechanical Engineering Certifications: Mandatory – NDT Level II (RT, UT, PT, MPT preferred); Welding Inspector Certification (e.g., CSWIP / AWS) is a plus Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with international welding standards and codes (ASME, AWS D1.1, ISO 3834, etc.) Review and validate WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), PQR (Procedure Qualification Records), and welder qualifications Conduct routine and critical inspections of welded joints, assemblies, and fabricated structures using NDT Level II techniques Monitor and audit in-process welding activities and ensure quality assurance measures are followed Identify and troubleshoot welding-related issues and coordinate with production for rectifications Maintain detailed quality documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, and welding logs Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and clients during quality audits or stage inspections Work closely with design, production, and planning teams to ensure adherence to quality norms throughout the fabrication process Required Skills: Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, IS codes, etc.) Proficient in NDT methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) Familiarity with fabrication processes, structural steel, EOT cranes, and heavy-duty welded assemblies Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols Good understanding of ISO 9001 QMS and quality documentation practices Hands-on experience with quality tools (e.g., root cause analysis, CAPA, 5-Why) Desirable: Experience in heavy fabrication companies similar to Preet Group Exposure to quality audits and certifications Knowledge of safety standards and industrial practices Interested Candidate May Share Their Updated Resume To recruitment@preetgroup.com
