As a Senior Engineer in Reliability, you will be responsible for conducting engineering and maintenance activities related to fixed equipment as per defined plans. Your role will involve identifying risks in a timely manner and recommending corrective measures to maximize equipment availability, reliability, and integrity. You will be required to adhere to all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Participation in periodic audit activities will be necessary to identify gaps and ensure that all equipment maintenance systems adhere to group standards and best practices related to static equipment. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in troubleshooting critical problems, providing inputs for major shutdown activities, evaluating QAPs for spares and consumables, preparing inspection reports and recommendations, and updating corrosion manuals. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, managing the implementation of maintenance procedures, and providing technical expertise on static equipment and maintenance to subordinates. Furthermore, you will support in improving reliability through continuous improvement techniques, participate in tracking obsolescence of site static equipment, and assess reliability risks to implement counter-measures for asset failure prevention. Your role will also involve coordinating inter-departmental reliability assurance activities and standardizing best practices specific to site static equipment. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, or a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A valid certification in ASNT/ISNT Level II in at least two techniques such as MPI, UT, or RT is required. You should have 3-7 years of working experience in a refinery or petrochemical plants with at least 2 years in managing reliability, inspection, and corrosion monitoring of fixed equipment. Key success metrics for this role include time to resolution, throughput increase, reduction in obsolescence of critical equipment, OEE, reduction in unplanned shutdowns, and adherence to health and safety policies. Your operating network will include internal stakeholders like S&OR and site teams, as well as external stakeholders like vendors and auditors. Additionally, you will prepare inspection reports, release recommendations, and maintain inspection records in systems like SAP and Meridium. Your role will involve providing repair procedures for fixed equipment in compliance with relevant codes and standards. You will also coordinate inter-departmental reliability assurance activities and participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures. Maintaining corrosion manuals, assisting in developing RBI for identified plants, liaison with statutory authorities, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements related to static equipment are key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be involved in detailed planning for major shutdown activities, executing major overhauls, administering contracts, and evaluating QAP's for spares and consumables. Demonstrating strong teamwork, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills are crucial. You should have the ability to interpret equipment engineering drawings, PFD's, P&ID's, and piping isometrics. Basic knowledge of construction of fixed equipment, design codes and standards, maintenance systems, welding inspection, refinery/petrochemical unit operations, materials, and metallurgy is required. For this position, a BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering is essential. A valid certification in ASNT/ISNT Level II in at least two techniques (MPI/UT/RT) and around 5 years of experience in a refinery/petrochemical plant, including 2 years managing reliability, inspection, and corrosion monitoring of fixed equipment, are required qualifications. Exposure to MS Office and other computerized systems will be advantageous.,
