As a Marine Superintendent specializing in Cape-size vessels, your primary responsibility is to offer shore support to vessels by managing their day-to-day operational issues in alignment with company guidelines, port-specific requirements, flag regulations, and international standards. Your role involves overseeing the daily operations of vessels, with a strong focus on Navigation, cargo handling, occupational health, safety, and environmental considerations. It is crucial that you ensure the safe and efficient operation of vessels to minimize incidents and maintain client satisfaction, all while upholding the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy to foster the continuous development of the business. To be eligible for this role, you should have prior experience serving as a Master onboard Ocean-going vessels, particularly Bulk Carriers of Cape-size. Additionally, you are expected to possess 2-5 years of shore experience as a Marine Superintendent. Your key responsibilities as a Marine Superintendent include: - Adhering to company Safety Management System (SMS) procedures, forms, and checklists. - Ensuring compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO), Flag, and port state regulations. - Upholding the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) policy and other security-related regulations. - Providing contingency support to vessels as needed. - Securing positive outcomes from various inspections and audits conducted by PSC, Rightship, Flag, Class, P&I, and third-party entities. - Conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and preparing comprehensive reports. - Collaborating with Crisis Management Team (CMS) for incident compliance. - Organizing and conducting ISM/ISPS/MLC audits. - Managing vessels from a technical standpoint within the framework of the SMS. - Ensuring that fleet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met. - Identifying opportunities for continual improvement and overseeing their implementation. - Communicating any necessary SMS amendments to the management team. - Acting as a supportive figure within the company, offering assistance to colleagues and being a reliable point of contact for the entire team.
