Job Description: 2+ years of Experience in Backup Infrastructure. (L1) Monitor, administer and maintain backup environment. Diagnose and correct issues, whether these be issues with correct operation or performance. Monitor Virtualization environment and elevate to L2 or L3 level. Triage and solve user-submitted tickets, especially when they relate to the infrastructure. Track resource usage using monitoring and queuing software. Actively participate in Knowledge Management by creating new technical documents. Patch system firmware and software as needed. Peer assistance is an added trait. Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise with Backupe Infrastructure. Familiarity with knowledge of Zerto / Commvault / Netbackup etc. Hands on experience, at least 4+ years, in Operations and Support on Backup applications: Zerto, Veeam, Data Protector, Commvault, NetBackup Basic troubleshooting in Backup environment. Experience managing and monitoring different storage systems. Experience in upgrading backup software. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana/Nagios/Opsramp. Familiarity with the Server Storage connectivity basics. Experience in Incident/Change/Problem management. Must Have At least 04 years of Enterprise Backup Zerto and Netbackup troubleshooting or Administration experience Network fundamental Concepts of Enterprise Backup solution: Job scheduling, automation, reporting, Backup Performance, Basic Backup failure troubleshooting. Understanding of Tape rotation and Tape management on Physical Tap Libraries in Backup environment. D2d and/or Physical Library Backup Products StoreOnce, MSL Tape Libraries or equivalent. At least one Operating system Business Skills: Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Interacting and collaborating across different technology teams within HPE. Must work towards achieving HPEs vision for our customers. Affinity and a thorough understanding of support processes defined within HPE. Ability to work in a 24x7 environment in rotation shifts Exhibit Customer First and Customer Last Attitude consistently. Ability to drive cases to closure and provide Case Summary. Demonstrate high level of technical & communication skills. Takes responsibility for end-to-end problem ownership and its solutions.

Job Description : GMS L2 Veeam/Commvault Engineer Engineer will be part of a 24/7 IT backup operations team and will be directly responsible for Backup related processes. The position involves taking a leadership role with customer teams and internal teams to resolve problems, maintain managed Veeam/Commvault backup operations and, when necessary, to return systems to operational status. The job also involves leading communication between technical teams, customer, and internal organization to fulfill customer needs and accomplish customer satisfaction. Job specific responsibilities include maintaining complex Veeam/Commvault Backup Solutions which may involve Virtual libraries, Disk to Disk Backup systems, physical Tape Libraries, OS, Backup Software, Switch, SAN or Library components. Supporting and troubleshooting Veeam/ Commvault backup, recovery and archiving in a large, complex, and widely distributed environment. Analyzing daily backup failures, identifying root cause and resolving issues systematically to bring Backup success rate close to 100% Provide status and progress reports for Veeam/ Commvault backup environment related activities and tasks on regular/periodic basis. Plan and implement best practices for backup solutions. Proactive measures to ensure adequate storage capacity is available. Create and update documentation for backup procedures, solutions, licensing and applicable project artifacts. Perform configuration changes as per design and build. Capability to upgrade Veeam/ Commvault software across different versions and regular patching of Veeam/Commvault environment. Experience: Professional degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years related IT experience. Hands on experience, at least 2+ years, in Operations and Support on Backup applications: Veeam, Commvault, Data Protector Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills on Tape Libraries, Library Management software, SAN connectivity, backup software etc., including log analysis. General knowledge of networking concepts and iSCSI protocol. Basic knowledge & understanding of Data Protection, SaaS Software & Cloud Backup Backup failures, resolving them in collaboration. Understanding of OEM engagement support and escalation. Must Have At least 02 years of Enterprise Backup (Veeam & Commvault) troubleshooting or Administration experience Network fundamental Concepts of Enterprise Backup solution: Job scheduling, automation, reporting, Backup Performance, Basic Backup failure troubleshooting. Understanding of Tape rotation and Tape management on Physical Tap Libraries in Backup environment. D2d and/or Physical Library Backup Products StoreOnce, MSL Tape Libraries or equivalent. At least one Operating system Preferable: Knowledge of Remote Managed/Support/Monitoring processes and concepts Tools Knowledge on Service Now ITIL Certified. Certifications: Ideal candidate will be trained & certified in Veeam, Commvault (or any Enterprise Backup application). Additional understanding of Commvault or other enterprise backup software preferred. Technical Skills: S/he will demonstrate an in depth understanding of several products in more than one functional area involving usage, configuration, and interaction with other products. S/he must possess a balance of very well-developed troubleshooting, technical communication and written skills along with extensive product knowledge and skills. Candidate should have excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written. Interpersonal Skills: Self-Starter - Takes independent action to identify and solve problems. Seeks out relevant information needed to make decisions. Gets involved with new initiatives. Exceptional Customer service skills, mindset & attitude .
