Troubleshoot issues from Layer 17 using tools like tcpdump, ssldump, curl, Wireshark. Support infrastructure migrations and baseline reviews. Configure and support application security policies via F5 security modules. Propose improvements to standards, policies, and procedures using performance metrics. Required Skills Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and virtual appliances. Strong expertise in iRules and troubleshooting application connectivity. Knowledge of HTTP protocols, PKI, DNS, MFA , and application load balancing strategies. Familiarity with routers, switches & firewalls (Cisco / Dell / HP). The Senior Network Security Engineer (L3) is a key element within the Rackspace support infrastructure and is expected to provide a high level of technical support to our customers via the phone, ticketing system, and automation. This role owns complex customer issues which may take several days or weeks to resolve and keeps our customers updated through every step of the process. You will be expected to take initiative and advise on potential pitfalls that a customer may encounter and suggest alternatives through automation, which may better serve the stability and security of the customer's solution.
