Position: Engineering Manager Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India Experience: 10-15 years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering operations, lead new product development (NPD), and drive innovation in ferrous and non-ferrous forging processes and products. The Engineering Manager will be driving the entire product lifecycle right from the RFP till the delivery. Based in Pune, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in non-ferrous forging, a strong background in NPD, and a proven track record of implementing innovative ideas to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities New Product Development (NPD): Lead the design, development, and launch of new non-ferrous forging products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market demands. Oversee the entire NPD lifecycle, from concept ideation to prototyping, testing, and production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to ensure successful product launches. Innovation & Process Improvement: Drive innovation by introducing new ideas, technologies, and methodologies to enhance product quality, performance, and cost-efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements in non-ferrous forging techniques to optimize production and reduce lead times. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Conduct performance evaluations, provide technical guidance, and support professional development. Project Management: Plan and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and meet project objectives. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all engineering processes and products adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in non-ferrous forging output. Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to support sales teams in client interactions and product demonstrations. Work with production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing processes. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 10-15 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in non-ferrous forging or related industries. At least 5 years at Managerial level. Significant experience in new product development, with a demonstrated ability to lead successful NPD projects. Proven track record of innovation, evidenced by new ideas, patents, or process improvements. Prior experience in managing engineering teams is highly desirable. Should have worked in and help scale entrepreneur led organizations to grow into corporate entities. Experience in leading multiple departments including design, estimation, tool room, NPD and quality assurance. Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field). M.E. or M. Tech. in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering in a relevant field is a plus. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of non-ferrous forging processes (e.g., aluminum, copper, titanium), materials, and applications. Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (e.g. UG NX, Transvalor, AutoCAD) and simulation tools. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and quality management systems. Familiar with IATF & ISO norms and regulations. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and results. Critical thinking and Problem-solving attitude. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
