IPR Business Partner

As an IPR Business Partner at the leading global optical and digital solutions company, you will be a key member of the Intellectual Property team, collaborating with engineering and technology teams to deliver high-quality patent analysis. Your role will involve proactive identification and documentation of invention disclosures, conducting patentability assessments, analysing patents related to key initiatives, and contributing to licensing initiatives. You will also be responsible for conducting patent landscape analyses, responding to office actions, and ensuring alignment with intellectual property objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with engineering and technology teams to identify and document invention disclosures - Perform novelty screenings and patentability assessments - Analyse patents related to key initiatives and projects - Review patent applications for alignment with IP objectives - Conduct patent landscape analyses to identify trends and innovation opportunities - Support patent prosecution and licensing initiatives Skills: - Proficiency in prior art searches, Claim Charts, and Mapping - Experience in Infringement searches and Evidence of Use (EoU) assessments - Conducting Freedom to Operate (FTO) analyses and Invalidity searches - Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments - Adaptability as a team player committed to organizational goals - Result-oriented with a sense of extreme ownership Qualifications: - Mandatory engineering background, preferably in mechanical or electronics engineering - 7+ years of hands-on experience in intellectual property (IP) About STL and STL Digital: STL is a leading global optical and digital solutions company offering advanced solutions for building networks including 5G, Rural, FTTx, Enterprise, and Data Centre networks.
