As an Engineer (NPD) reporting to the HOD, your responsibilities will include attending trials and preparing trial reports for each trial. You will be required to obtain customer sample signoff, packaging signoff, and ensure proper PPAP documentation with QA. Additionally, you will need to obtain PSW signoff and maintain IPP records. Following up with suppliers and completing any work assigned by your reporting person will be essential tasks in this role. In case of non-conforming parts being produced during a trial, you have the authority to stop the machine.
