We are in search of a proactive and technically proficient IT Technician to oversee and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in resolving hardware/software issues, managing networks, and ensuring the seamless operation of all technical functions. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance: - Setting up, configuring, and managing network hardware and software such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. - Installing cameras, laying cables, connecting equipment, and ensuring proper system setup. Troubleshooting: - Identifying and resolving network problems, including hardware/software issues, connectivity glitches, and performance bottlenecks. - Regularly inspecting and upkeeping CCTV equipment, troubleshooting system faults, and optimizing performance. Network Monitoring: - Monitoring network performance, recognizing potential issues, and proactively preventing outages or disruptions. - Supervising camera feeds for activity, overseeing video storage, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Security: - Implementing and maintaining network security measures like firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Technical Support: - Providing technical assistance to end-users, addressing queries, and resolving network-related issues. Documentation: - Documenting network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps. - Maintaining precise records of installations, repairs, and security incidents. Collaboration: - Collaborating with IT professionals and end-users to ensure smooth network operations. - Working with security personnel and relevant teams to tackle security concerns and incidents. Skills Required: - Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware (routers, switches), and software. Familiarity with CCTV systems and networking principles. - Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex network issues and technical problems related to cameras, cabling, and recording equipment. - Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze network performance data and detect potential problems. - Communication Skills: Effective communication of technical information to technical and non-technical audiences. - Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving network environments.
