Senior Network Engineer Base location: India Travel expectations: Europe/US (when possible) This is an exciting opportunity to come into a medium sized company and really make a difference. Responsibilities include: Operate the companys LAN and WAN infrastructure Monitor WAN circuits, device reachability and health condition Keep software up to date on network devices in line with security advisements Apply global network standards and policies Troubleshoot and fix network issues Support sites in LAN configuration changes in line with business requirements Manage network refresh projects and migrations Support new site installations Operate on-prem datacenters network infrastructure and Direct Connect to AWS Work with customers and partners to setup and operate network connectivity Support IT security audits Provide network metrics for executive team and stakeholders Manage and maintain network documentation, diagrams and best practices Consistently research and review new network technologies and practices to strengthen the company’s global network infrastructure. Required Experience and Skills : Minimum of 8 plus years of IT networking experience, including all the responsibilities listed for this position. Need to have great communication skills and be articulate in English A degree in Computer Science and Cisco CCNP certificate or equivalent work experience Working experience with Cisco devices: switches, routers, firewalls, ASA, Firepower, FMC, WLC, ISE, CUCM Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of L2 technologies: STP, RSTP, VTP, dot1q, Etherchannel, HSRP, VRRP Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of BGP and EIGRP routing protocols, IP SLA Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of L2 security: Port security, Private vlan, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, BPDU guard, Local SPAN, Remote SPAN, 802.1x authentication Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of L3 security: NAP, PAT, Zone Based firewall, Port mapping, Device hardening Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of IPSec, GRE, SSL VPN, Anyconnect, SD-WAN Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco wireless networks Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Unified Communication Manager Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Identity Services Engine Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of Riverbed Steelhead Expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of Amazon Web Services: AWS firewall, AWS Load-Balancer, Direct Connect Gateway, Virtual Private Gateway, Transit Gateway
