As a Senior Design Engineer specializing in Security & Turnstile Systems, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of security access control products, particularly mechanical turnstiles, flap barriers, and swing gates. Your role will involve creating detailed 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks/AutoCAD. Additionally, you will perform design calculations, stress analysis, and component selection for mechanisms, actuators, and structural parts. Collaboration with electrical, embedded, and firmware teams will be essential to integrate sensors, motors, and control systems. You will be tasked with optimizing designs for cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Working closely with prototyping, testing, and manufacturing teams will be necessary to validate design functionality, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement design improvements based on field feedback. It will also be part of your responsibilities to maintain engineering documentation and revision control, as well as stay updated with industry trends and suggest new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques.
