This person is responsible for developing and demonstrating automation technologies, which are often used in conjunction with information systems, remote control, semi-autonomous, and fully autonomous machine control systems. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in developing Vision / image processing software using IP cameras and stereo cameras and implementing production quality software in C++. Responsibilities Develop a strategy to support multiple camera related applications in various command projects. Establish technical capabilities in vision areas and create models/algorithms which can scale & easier to maintain across programs. Documenting architecture specifications, software design description, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures. Utilizing appropriate tools to debug, test and maintain software and hardware systems of robotic tools; assisting in the verification and validation process. Participating in design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms. Degree Requirement Requires a degree in BE/ME/PhD in Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience working with cameras (stereo, mono), Lidars, Radars Understanding video codecs such as H.264 and H.265 as well as audio codecs such as G711. Familiar with development tools: GIT Hub, DevOps, Linux Experience with UDP/TCP IP protocols Experience in developing embedded computational platforms including hardware accelerated platforms such as FPGAs, GPUs, and real-time CPU Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
