Job Title : Embedded Software Engineer Location : [New Delhi] Department : Engineering / R&D Job Type : [Full-Time ] About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software that runs on embedded systems, enabling the next generation of [product type e.g., IoT devices, automotive systems, medical equipment, consumer electronics, etc.]. You’ll work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and debug embedded software in C/C++ (and/or other languages). Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new hardware platforms. Implement drivers, middleware, and application-level software for microcontrollers or embedded processors. Work with RTOS or bare-metal environments depending on project requirements. Optimize system performance, memory usage, and power consumption. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation. Maintain thorough documentation of design, code, and testing processes. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science. 2 years of experience in embedded software development. Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems. Solid understanding of microcontrollers, peripherals, and low-level debugging. Experience with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PWM, etc. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience working with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr, VxWorks) or bare-metal environments. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ARM Cortex-M or similar architectures. Knowledge of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for test automation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for embedded projects. Understanding of wireless protocols (e.g., BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi). Familiarity with power optimization techniques for battery-operated devices.
