The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop hardware components by creating detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and technical drawings using CAD software. You will be required to conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware components to ensure their functionality and reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams, is essential for successful project completion. In case of any hardware issues, your troubleshooting skills will be crucial during both design and testing phases. Additionally, you will be responsible for project management, which includes project planning, resource allocation, and risk assessment. In terms of design and development, you will be expected to develop embedded digital systems that incorporate microprocessors and FPGAs. You will also need to design simulations using software such as pSPICE, LTSpice, and other relevant tools. Creating technical specifications and diagrams to guide manufacturing and assembly processes will be part of your regular tasks. It will also be important to optimize hardware designs for cost, performance, and reliability. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Previous experience as a Hardware Design Engineer or in a similar role will be advantageous. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is essential, along with a strong understanding of electronic systems and component materials. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also required. It would be beneficial to have experience with IoT design, SMPS, and high-level programming languages like C/C++ as well as scripting languages like Perl, TCL, or Python. Knowledge of signal processing and data acquisition, along with familiarity with industry standards and regulations, would also be advantageous. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. The work location is in person.
