Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager, located in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive the growth of our insurance-specific software products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Indian insurance industry, combined with experience in enterprise software sales. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships with insurers, brokers, and TPAs, and driving revenue growth Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (MBA preferred). 5+ years of experience in B2B enterprise software sales, preferably with insurance domain exposure. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in the BFSI sector. Strong understanding of the Indian insurance landscape and regulatory environment (IRDAI). Familiarity with core insurance software such as policy administration systems, claims management, underwriting automation, and customer engagement platforms. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel across regions as required. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Execution : Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for selling insurance software solutions. Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the insurance ecosystem (Life, Health, General, Insurance Brokers). Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Client Engagement : Engage with CXOs, IT heads, and business leaders in insurance companies to understand their pain points. Present and demonstrate software solutions tailored to client needs. Market Development : Develop relationships with insurers, brokers, TPAs, and digital aggregators. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Proposal & Contracting : Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to create solution proposals. Negotiate terms and pricing to close business agreements. Account Management : Ensure client satisfaction and act as a point of contact for ongoing sales opportunities and upsells. Drive client renewals and manage long-term strategic accounts.
