As an SSD Validation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a crucial role in validating SSD FW for Micron NAND based Systems and Solutions. Your responsibilities will include defining Test Plans, creating test cases, and developing Test Scripts. The tests you conduct will cover Functional, System level, and Customer Qual centric tests. To excel in this role, you will need a high level of competency in understanding NVMe/PCIe specifications, NVMe Cloud SSD Specifications, and Customer specific requirements. You will collaborate closely with Micron's Hyperscale/Datacenter customers throughout the Product Life Cycle to enhance the cycle time and customer quality of Micron's SSD products. Successful candidates for this position will have 6-12 years of experience in Embedded firmware or 4+ years in SSD Firmware Validation. Experience working with Datacenter Compute and Storage solutions like Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere/VSAN is a strong plus. Proficiency in debugging NVMe/SAS Protocol issues using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers is highly desired. As an SSD Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing software, firmware, and device validation test plans. You will integrate tests into an automated test environment, review and document test results, and drive issues to closure by collaborating with other product development teams. To succeed in this role, you must have good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating system debugging, coding in Python, and effective oral and written communication skills. You should be a strong collaborator with excellent problem-solving and project management skills. Additionally, having a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.
