You will be responsible for conducting performance analysis and tuning activities for Mainframe systems, focusing on CPU utilization, memory management, I/O throughput, and response times. By monitoring system performance metrics and analyzing performance data, you will identify bottlenecks, trends, and areas for optimization. Collaboration with development teams, system administrators, and architects will be key to designing, implementing, and tuning Mainframe applications and subsystems for optimal performance. Your role will involve developing and executing performance testing plans, which include workload modeling, benchmarking, and capacity planning to ensure that systems can effectively handle expected loads and peak demands. Implementation of performance monitoring tools and automated processes will be essential to proactively detect and address performance issues before they impact users or business operations. Furthermore, you will provide recommendations and solutions for enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability based on performance analysis findings. Working closely with vendors and support teams, you will troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues in Mainframe software, hardware, and network components. Documenting performance tuning activities, best practices, and guidelines for internal reference and knowledge sharing will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you are required to have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Mainframe performance engineering. Proficiency in Mainframe, performance analysis, tuning, CPU, memory, I/O tuning, and capacity planning is essential. Staying updated with emerging technologies, tools, and techniques in Mainframe performance engineering and sharing knowledge within the team will be encouraged.,
