As an Associate Vice President in Investment Banking, you will play a crucial role in managing the Investment Banking team, overseeing Debt syndication, independently handling clients, and supervising the execution of fundraising (Debt) and M&A activities. Your extensive experience and expertise will be instrumental in driving successful transactions and maintaining robust client relationships. You will lead and manage the Investment Banking team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes while providing mentorship and guidance to team members to foster their professional growth and collaboration. Your expertise in Debt Syndication will be crucial as you structure and negotiate debt deals with multiple lenders, utilizing your strong knowledge of credit analysis, debt instruments, and term sheet negotiations. Building and maintaining relationships with a network of investors and lenders, including banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions, will be essential for effective debt raising. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, you will focus on understanding client needs and delivering bespoke solutions while engaging, networking, and building relationships with potential investors and stakeholders. Financial analysis and valuation will be a core part of your role, involving the analysis of financial data, development of financial models for valuations, conducting industry research, competitor analysis, and macroeconomic factors to support decision-making, as well as creating business plans, forecasts, and investor decks tailored to client requirements. You will supervise all organizational communication with external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with intended messaging, while also overseeing the preparation of press releases, journalist Q&As, and factsheets to ensure timeliness and quality. Identifying and implementing process improvements for enhanced efficiency, along with developing standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards for improved analysis and reporting, will also be part of your responsibilities. Basic qualifications for this role include being a Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA (Finance) with at least 5 years of experience in Investment Banking or a related field. Proven experience in managing teams, handling clients independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as strong analytical, valuation, and data interpretation skills, are essential requirements.
