Job Description

As an Investments Accountant at FIS, you will be responsible for various processing tasks for the database assigned to you. This includes reviewing client's investment portfolio and accounting records, providing clients with accounting and compliance reports periodically, staying updated on new products/services and changes to existing products/services, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of applicable products, services, and company policies and procedures, and identifying additional opportunities to provide more products, services, or other resources to customers and referring to managing director/relationship manager. You will also manage and communicate expectations internally and externally and oversee client projects and implementations. Key Responsibilities: - Review client's investment portfolio and accounting records - Provide clients with accounting and compliance reports periodically - Stay updated on new products/services and changes to existing products/services - Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable products, services, and company policies and procedures - Identify additional opportunities to provide more products, services, or other resources to customers and refer to managing director/relationship manager - Manage and communicate expectations internally and externally - Oversee client projects and implementations Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in accounting, finance, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience (1-2 years) - Good in Accounting - Reconciliation, Trade Processing, Corporate Actions - Ability to communicate ideas verbally and in written form clearly and professionally - Ability to understand and apply concepts - Ability to handle projects commensurate with job expectations - Understanding of basic accounting concepts (GAAP, etc) - Understanding of investments and the accounting of those investments - Understanding of Corporate Actions and Stocks/Bonds and other security instruments - Strong problem-solving skills - Excellent customer service skills - Organizational and time management skills required - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Some flexibility of hours required If you have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, decision-making skills, team management skills, and persuasion skills, along with insurance accounting experience and investment accounting experience, it would be considered an added bonus.
