Wakefit is seeking an Assistant Manager Inventory Management to oversee inventory accuracy, stock control, and efficient inventory flow at our Mother Warehouse in Hosur . The role requires expertise in inventory tracking, stock audits, demand planning, and ERP/WMS systems to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Control & Accuracy Maintain 100% inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations. Implement and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) & LIFO (Last In, First Out) inventory management practices . Identify and rectify stock discrepancies, shrinkage, and damages in a timely manner. Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth inventory flow. 2. Stock Planning & Replenishment Monitor inventory levels and generate reports for demand forecasting. Ensure timely stock replenishment to meet order fulfillment needs without overstocking. Work closely with the procurement team to align stock levels with business demand . 3. Process Optimization & Automation Improve inventory tracking systems through ERP/WMS implementation (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Develop and enforce SOPs for inventory handling, storage, and movement . Drive process automation to reduce manual errors and enhance efficiency. 4. Reporting & Compliance Generate inventory reports, stock variance reports, and audit reports for management. Ensure compliance with GST, audit, and regulatory guidelines for inventory management. Conduct root cause analysis for inventory mismatches and implement corrective actions. 5. Coordination & Team Management Work with warehouse operations, supply chain, and finance teams to optimize inventory flow. Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices for inventory handling. Ensure safety and compliance standards are met in inventory operations. Key Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's/Masters degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field. Experience: 8 plus years in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain management . Strong proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (SAP or similar). Expertise in inventory forecasting, stock audits, and variance analysis . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills. Experience in handling high-SKU-volume inventory in a large warehouse setup.
